Coming Together 5

Coming Together 5 was the fifth national gathering of college multi-religious councils. It was organized by Princeton University Religious Life Council from the 17th to the 20th of February, 2011. Over 100 students from 30 schools participated. The conference was entirely student-run and comprised of a keynote address by Dr. Eboo Patel, Founder and Director of Interfaith Youth Core, religious open houses, and breakout sessions on topics ranging from Interfaith Diplomacy to the Role of Secular Humanism in Interfaith Dialogue. Other fun events included Religion Night at the Art Museum, Professors Night and a Bhangra party.

The first Coming Together conference was held at Princeton University in 2005. Since then Coming Together conferences have been held at Johns Hopkins, University of Southern California and University of Puget Sound.

The mission of the Religious Life Council is to deepen understanding and cultivate respect among all religious faiths; weave connections between intellectual life and spiritual growth; widen the conversation on critical moral and ethical issues of the day; and provide visibility for the strength and diversity of religious life on the Princeton campus.
